An interactive learning environment & safe space for the children of St. Pete
Concept Statement for this design-
Serendipitous Haven
“A safe place to explore.”
With no clear path, guided only by intuition this space allows the user to discover something unexpected, whether that be something within themselves, a new talent, or a friend. Something they didn't know they needed, and were not looking for but have found it here. A safe place to explore, get lost in imagination and the splendor of space. A place to grow, to flourish.

In the spring of 2019, the Syndicat Mixte du Parc Naturel Régional du Luberon connected with SCADpro seeking solutions to enliven their Maison du Parc building. Our team was asked to deliver design proposals that engage the façade with the street through descriptive banners and a welcoming entry vestibule, better accommodate interpersonal communication via ergonomic, human-centric design through the reception, and increase sales through a reorganization of the boutique. This renovation will ideally enhance the user experience, increase sales and foot traffic, and reflect the energy of the Luberon.
My interior design studio worked in collaboration with historic preservation design students on a UNESCO World Heritage site, re-imagining one of France’s national park’s visitors center lobby, reception and boutique. With a focus on celebrating the diversity of The Luberon, our team came up with the concept of layering communities; which reinforces the history, diversity, and unification of the local community.

MZ CHI. is MZ Fairtrade Textiles new company headquarters, located in Chihuahua, Mexico. MZ CHI. represents the feeling that the company embodies, focusing on community, communication, collaboration and home. I’ve created a warm environment where creativity can flourish and collaboration is encouraged . With subtle hints to the surrounding environment, culture and indigenous craft of the Mexican peoples, this is the perfect home for MZ Textiles new headquarters.
Concept statement for this design -
Metamorphosis- From Sheep to Store
The metaphorical transformation of something simple to something complex. The MZ CHI headquarters are a physical embodiment of this transformative process. Through collaboration between local artisans of Oaxaca and the designers of MZ - a simple raw material is transformed into something complex and marketable. Every piece of the process is essential to the whole - like individual threads on a loom - interlocked together to form a larger being.

A vintage eclectic fast casual bakery cafe located in downtown Savannah, GA, designed for chef Claire Ptak.
Petal, as to say a piece of something bigger, is the perfect home for Claire Ptak’s creations. This fast-casual restaurant is a reflection of Claire’s style of cooking as well as personal aesthetic. Floral motifs seen throughout speak to the brand of the restaurant, as well as pay homage to Claire’s signature floral garnishes on her cakes. The space is warm and inviting just like the food made in it. This building not only serves as a fast-casual restaurant but is also home to a recording studio for Violette Sessions, Claire’s podcast, bringing her two loves together in one space. Darker rustic materials contrast with vibrant fabrics, to create a unique blend of both masculine and feminine styles. Petal feels right at home, seamlessly blending into the culture of Savannah. To bring in the character and history of the city, trim salvaged from old Victorian homes as well as reclaimed wood are used in the millwork. Vintage furnishings and fixtures collected from local antique shops give the space a totally unique and whimsical feel. Victorian elements reflect both the architecture of Savannah as well as London, Claire’s current home. In order to celebrate the character of the original building, existing materials like the brick and wood plank flooring are kept. This ‘antique shop’ of a restaurant is a step back in time, that hopes to conjure up feelings of nostalgia in the customers. It feels as though you have been there before, even if it’s your first time visiting.

This rustic urban loft provides the perfect space for a laid back country musician and his family. This residence has a down home country feel with an industrial twist, that focuses on comfort and functionality. Shane McAnally’s personality is reflected in the simple and rustic aesthetics of this loft. A blend of traditional and modern elements create a comfortable and approachable environment. A nice contrast is created between dark, rough, unfinished materials, juxtaposed with light soft textiles. A predominately warm color palette, and emphasis on natural light makes for a warm and radiant home.

My goal with was to transform this space by incorporating some of the classic shapes and finishes associated with the iconic mid-century modern style, but in a fresh way. This living room is conducive to home entertainers, with an open layout that encourages movement and socialization. I have tried to create an energetic and eclectic look while still keeping cohesion in the color palette, and lighting. I went for bolder fabric colors that speak to elegance and sophistication while still keeping the space gender neutral.
